Schlesinger is a Government Affairs consultant, active in Democratic politics. She is the sister of former Massachusetts Senator and Congressman Paul Tsongas. Schlesinger worked on her brother’s 1992 big for the Democratic nomination, and played a prominent role in Ted Kennedy’s 1980 primary challenge against incumbent Jimmy Carter. She was a delegate for Barack Obama at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
